denial
of coverage good GRIEF ! I'm healthy, but I've been denied coverage ! NOW what do I do ? There are a number of health issues that are automatically denied coverage by most carriers. For example, unresolved kidney stones would be denied. Unabashedly, that's a huge health [insurance] risk until its taken care of. The list of denial conditions is far too long to publish here. YOU KNOW if its happened to you. Now, what do you do ? Contact the Ohio Department of Insurance via phone, 1-800-686-1526 or on-line at: www.ohioinsurance.gov. They have a list of carriers providing guaranteed coverage [that month.] Each insurance company providing healthcare coverage in the state of Ohio must, during a pre ascertained time, offer Open Enrollment until the number of plans available is used up. The Ohio Department of Insurance knows who is currently in the midst of Open Enrollment and has the telephone number to contact. In addition to Open Enrollment, there are 'discount houses,' offering doctor office co-pays and prescription discounts. I've had several people say, "Hey, when regular insurance gets too expensive to buy, this is not a bad alternative." Just remember, this is NOT an INSURANCE product. There are no Major Medical claims to be made or anything. Just a slight help. Contact _____________________ for more information.
